About Me
Hi, I’m Tiety Kooistra. Artist, deep thinker, and creator of The Overthinker’s Reset. I’m a highly sensitive, neurodivergent, and autodidactic multi-passionate person who’s spent years learning how to move through the world with more self-trust and less mental clutter.
My path has never been linear. I’ve studied building engineering, architecture, architectural and landscape history, programming, and teaching. Drawn to anything that helps me understand how people think, live, and express themselves. But like many gifted, multipotentialite minds, I struggled to find a space that truly fit. The environments I trained in often felt too rigid, too slow, too fast, or too narrow for the way I process the world.
That misfit experience, especially during my time in teacher training, helped me see what was missing: support for people who feel deeply, think complexly, and need gentle structure instead of pressure. That’s exactly what I now offer through my work.
As an artist, I explore identity through layered, symbolic pieces. In my Facets of Identity series, I create sculptural puzzles that shift shape, showing how our personalities adapt based on environment and expectation. In Live in Layers, I use collage to work through childhood injunctions, expressing how identity evolves when we peel back internalised beliefs.
My coaching work is an extension of this. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all advice. I create space, for reflection, exploration, experimentation, so you can rebuild trust in your own inner rhythm and expression, one step at a time.
